Tiki Time

This is a Juicy charm I got in my Easter basket yesterday. He is so cute, and so me. Along with my tiki I also got lots of yummy chocolate from Woodhouse. I know I am spoiled, but my kids did pretty good too. I usually take a picture of there Easter baskets but this year I was too slow, there was nothing left but Easter grass debris by the time I got out to the living room.
We went to dinner at my uncles. We had a really yummy pork roast and I made chocolate chip pie and my son made his famous brownies. My uncles house is so cute. It's old (1940's) and tiny (smaller than our house) but its decorated so cute. The best part is the tropical tiki patio area. He has a tiki bar, real tiki heads, surfboards and a thatched roof covering it all. You feel like you are on vacation when you are out there.(Even when its freezing and raining on Easter.) Every time we go there we talk about doing something similar to our backyard. I am drawing up the plans now and making up my to do list. But I know I need to finish the front porch first. :)

An Early Birthday Present

My friend gave me my birthday present early. I love the baskets she makes, they always have a theme and are very creative. Now let me introduce you to one of the gifts....my new Juicy shoes.

Starting Off A Great New Year

My exciting New Year started off with severe swelling of my hand,(Which made it look like I had a lobster claw.) and swelling of both feet (Which made me lay on the couch and hobble around only when necessary.) Even with these irritating set backs we had a great New Year as a family. After my hand returned to usable size, we had a 4 player New Supper Mario Bro marathon. (We beat the game.)
Creativity wise, I was inspired this weekend by two thing. The first being another class I am taking in February. The second my daughter. She loves different art mediums just as much as I do, and this weekend she was sewing handbags. They turned out so cute and she did them completely on her own. She now wants to make more and sell them on etsy. Well if she can do it so can I. I went to the torch and made several beads based on clothing I got for Christmas. They all turned out pretty good but even better was I had so much fun.
